One day of the builder

       Awakened by a rapid ringing of the alarm, I reluctantly open my eyes. Oh my god, italready 5:15. I immediately get out of bed, wash up and then rush to the canteen. 

        Honestly, the food in our canteen is not bad. We’ll start eating if all eight seats of one table are filled up. At breakfast, steamed stuffed buns, steamed twisted rolls, eggs, noodles, porridge, and side dishes are available and you can choose whatever you like. The food is not only rich in nutrition but also complete in types, which basically satisfies employees’ needs. We eat lunch at 11:30 at the scene. The lunch food sent to the scene by car is less complicated with one meat dish, one vegetable dish and one soup. As for dinner at canteen, it’s richer. We can enjoy four dishes and one soup, sometimes even a little wine. Overall, the project manager Yu Dongxuan provides great logistic support, which ensures that canteen food is clean and sanitary, the cookers change recipes every day. The employees are too happy to think of home.

         At 6:15 after breakfast, the sky is not that bright. We already go to the scene by bus. A brand new day begins. Everyone goes to their respective position, pattern making, cement mixing, welding, equipment hoisting and so on. The whole scene immediately presents a picture of prosperity with machine roaring, trucks running, people coming and going, rousing the sleepy BASF project but seems to be a little incompatible with the outside world. However, it also reveals the spirit of the employees of the fifteen project department to be hardworking and able to bear hardships, expresses the vitality and vigour of the company, highlights the rigid, scientific and perfect management system, and draw much admiration form outsiders. Looking at the whole scene, arranged materials, clear roads and signs, it is such a beautiful picture with vitality. 

        Employees usually take a nap at noon then start working at 1:00. They are still stick to their own position under requirements. The office is quiet where technicians review drawings, check data, calculate sizes and do fees. The responsibility is so huge that they can’t make any tiny mistakes to the desk work. Employees generally knock off at 5:15, returning to the site by bus.

        At night, employees are not allowed to go out. Most of them just wash clothes, drink tea, talk with others or watch TV. Meanwhile, some technicians are still busy at calculating and writing on their computer even sitting in the bed. Next day the sun still rises from the east, bringing new sunshine. The new Nylon6 with an annual production of 100,000 ton and its affiliated facilities projects of BASF Chemical co.,LTD will keep proceeding.
