The Chimney of the Sulfur Recovery Combined Plant for ZhongKe Refinery & Petrochemical Company Limited was sealed smoothly 

At 10:18 a.m. December 20th ，ten days prior to the planned date, the chimney of the 3X130 kt/a Sulfur Recovery Combined Plant for ZhongKe Refinery & Petrochemical Company Limited was sealed by our company.

The chimney , 137m tall, 12.5m in diameter at the bottom and 6m in diameter at the top, is the highest reinforced concrete structure under construction in the integrated project of ZhongKe Refinery & Petrochemical Company Limited . The project located in the coastal areas of Guangdong province was affected by atrocious weather conditions such as high temperature, rainy season and typhoon all the year round. In the meantime, high construction work surface , tight shedules, difficult concrete maintenance and large degree of difficulty and risk were also problems we had to face and solve.

             The eighth branch of NCC undertaking the construction and the main contractor organized third party experts to demonstrate and review the chimney plan, constituting an emergency plan related to fall, object strike, electric shock injury, fire, sudden power failure etc. During the construction, we always put safety first, focused on the quality of concrete technology of chimney walls , and ensured that the construction of chimney tube exceeded the expected goal in safety, quality and process. The construction technology of vertical frame moving formwork and the technology of turnover, extraction, separation of internal and external set-shaped steel formwork were applied in the project, which effectively ensured that the diameter and roundness of the chimney meet design requirement. The chimney wall after sealing was beautiful and smooth and the template seams were straightening. The chimney has become the landmark structure of the integrated project of ZhongKe Refinery & Petrochemical Company Limited. It also received full affirmation from the owner and supervisors, wining a good reputation for NCC in China chemical projects.
